Back in 2010, the White House agreed to install solar panels on it’s roof to help boost renewable energy programs. The solar panels are now up and running, providing 6.3 kilowatts of solar generation. During the Carter administration, the White House had installed solar panels but they were removed by President Reagan in 1986. This is the first time since then that the solar panels have been installed again.
